WHY?
In martial arts of all disciplines, classes are structured. They're fun and engaging.
A typical KBOX class begins and ends with all students giving a bow of respect, has a warm up with running and lots of short bursts of sit ups and push ups, hopping and skipping. There are regular drinks breaks to catch breath and chat and giggle- and learning and concentration session blocks are intermingled with energy blasting bouts of sparring.
Classes vary from week to week with different content but that same pattern remains constant throughout.
Let's face it, kickboxing is anything but a lie down, but it's far from chaotic, and respect and self control are paramount, the moves practiced and pace of class keep students focused and alert.
Classes are small enough not to be overwhelming and full of friendly people, adults and children, with plenty of one to one partner work for those who prefer either environment.
Although grading sets levels of knowledge and ability, within those, we know all students are different for endless reasons - and we play to that, encouraging everyone to excel, reaching their own personal goals according to ability, increasing self esteem and confidence.
